You will be directed to a secure and anonymous survey site hosted by our research partner, Georgia State University.

The survey takes approximately 20-30 mins to complete. We value your time, and appreciate you taking the survey.

The survey is being conducted with our research partner:

The LGBT Institute at the Center for Civil and Human Rights has partnered with Georgia State University to conduct a survey of LGBTQ individuals in the South. This is a study of, by, and for Southern LGBTQ people, with the support of many community and grassroots organizations.

The goal of this research is to amplify the voices of LGBTQ Southerners and highlight the issues affecting our lives. The survey touches on a broad range of topics, including education and employment, health and wellness, criminal justice and safety, sexual and gender identity, and discrimination.

Planning for this survey began in 2015, but the need for this survey has become even more urgent as LGBTQ people are being erased from government policy and research: LGBTQ questions from the National Survey of Older Americans Act Participants (NSOAAP) and the upcoming 2020 United States Census are now gone. Our voices are needed now. Please use this survey to tell your story. Let's make clear that our lives and experiences will not be erased.
